After a life-long obsession with all things cameras and lenses, Josh got his BA at Webster University where he studied filmmaking, screenwriting, and analogue photography in 2012. He’s been creating art in various mediums ever since. Check out his art portfolio at: JoshuaJJMiller.com

Bridget joined Josh on his creative ventures in 2020 when she quickly fell in love with analogue photography and started building her own creative portfolio. She is also a talented UI/UX designer and clinical Speech Pathologist. Her UI/UX work can be found at: BridgetCarlile.com

Our Vision:

The name “Mumblesmith” was originally used as a nickname to describe Josh’s unique songwriting style of singing his lyrics more as quiet mumbles than as actual vocals. But this website isn’t about music and (thankfully) you aren’t here for that. We made “Mumblesmith” our photography and media business to honor the other quiet mumblers out there who may not be the best with words but nevertheless understand beauty when they come across it. At Mumblesmith, we are passionate about creating fun, authentic, and inclusive images that capture the essence of your spirit. Our philosophy is that everyone is beautiful, and that life is more about creating fun memories than just capturing perfect moments. (Though we strive for both!) We are open to any photoshoot ideas or concepts you may have, so feel free to reach out. Let’s create something special!
